Hollywood actress Anne Heche's car rammed into a residential building here on Friday, causing severe burns and was later hospitalised.
According to the information, a fire broke out in a structure located on Walgrove Avenue in Mar Vista, Los Angeles and Heche's vehicle was also engulfed in flames.
"Anne found inside the vehicle was taken to hospital in critical condition by LAFD paramedics," the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement on its website.
It took 65 minutes for firefighters to douse the fire.
Anne was rescued inside the vehicle, taken to a regional hospital in critical condition by LAFD paramedics.
However, no casualties have been reported for any other person.
Anne Heche rose to fame with the TV show Another World, playing twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love in the series.
For this he got the Daytime Emmy Award.
