Vanessa Bryant, will be in court Wednesday for a million-dollar lawsuit against the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department over photos of her husband taken in the accident.

The suit alleges that a former LA County fire department spokesman showed photos at the 2020 Golden Mike Awards less than a month after the accident.
After trying to settle the case, the sheriff's office called the trial a "money-grab", but the widow insisted on going to court.
According to the suit, close-up photos of Gianna and Kobe's remains were passed by at least 28 sheriff's department equipment and at least a dozen firefighters.

A barkeep in Norwalk, California, said a Los Angeles cop showed him the photographs.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva to secure the crash site and asked not to allow any photos when he learned that no one was alive.
She said, 'If you can't get my husband and baby back, please make sure no one takes pictures of them.'
